If you don't dream then you'll never be more than you are. However, if you don't wake up then dreaming is all you will ever do.

I'm going to have to rename this page. It's the life lessons page.
Today I had a wonderful lesson in perseverance. As if publishing your own book isn't hard enough my pet cockatiel decided to fly out of his cage and disappear into the neighbourhood. If the house wasn't beside a major park in a wooded area getting him back may have been an easier task. The noise of the local wildlife and cars travelling down the main road made the task extremely difficult, it was going to be like finding a very small needle in a haystack the size of ten residential blocks. He was truly gone and I walked around the neighbourhood for an hour and a half searching every tree and stepping as quietly as I could in order to hear every noise from every aspect of the area.
With the sun going down and the shadows getting longer you can imagine that my hope of finding my little friend safe and sound was fading quickly. When I felt as though I was losing hope I decided to ask for my little friend to be delivered to me safe and sound. Shortly after I had boosted my resolve I heard a sound carried on the wind that sounded like one of his chirps so I made my way over two blocks looking in every tree and listening for further noises. At the last possible moment I looked in a tree to see my little cockatiel fluffing himself up and settling in for the night. He was too high to reach but a knock on the front door of the adjacent house resulted in a ladder being produced so that I could climb the tree. My cockatiel Smog saw that I was trying to reach him and he made his way down the branch towards my outstretched hand. When my motivation was almost gone I found a way to believe in myself and believe that I would be reunited with my friend. The belief resulted in my hearing his last possible chirp for the night and being led straight to his location. I asked and I received. This is a lesson that no matter what the odds you should never give up, keep going and the rewards will be there waiting for you to arrive.

It has been a while since I’ve written in here and I was taught a good lesson in slowing down the other day. A business meeting was cancelled so I decided to go for a walk along the beach nearby. Getting close to the beach I noticed a few people here and there already enjoying the water on what was turning out to be a hot day. As I walked along the shore line I noticed a fin bobbing in and out of the water close to shore. A young dolphin was swimming in the shallows towards me. It was barely two metres from the beach and I watched as it swam past and continued down the coast. As it approached the people in the shallows it ducked under the water, swam right past their feet and popped up on the other side. The dolphin passed four groups of people and none of them noticed. From this I learnt that no matter what we are doing we need to stop and look around once in a while.

Try to say the very thing you really mean, the whole of it, nothing more or less or other than what you really mean.
That is the whole art and the joy of words.

A customer contacted us recently to share his experience and new found hobby. Snorkeling. For relaxation we encourage you to find something you will enjoy, something that will get you out of the house and into a refreshing new world. What could be better than snorkeling over a reef for a few hours? It doesn't cost anything except for the initial set-up and is a great way to focus on something that energizes you.

It is that time of year again. January.
Why is that people feel that there is only one time in the year when they can change something in their life?
How many times have you made a New Years' Resolution to only have it fall by the wayside after a month or two?
It is important to have a source of motivation but if you have something that you want to change there is no time limitation.
You can start anywhere, anytime. The important thing is that you start.
The second most important point is that you make a decision to follow through and commit to that decision.
To achieve your goals it is always good to write them down to begin with. Writing them down makes them more real and tangible.
Believe in yourself and always remember that you can achieve anything.

When doing a job it is important to take the time and effort to do it right the first time.
Too much of the work that is done these days is simply rectifications to work that should have been done right in the first place.

This is not so much a quote but a lesson.
A lesson on focus.
Try this with me and see what you come up with.
Stretch your arms out to your sides with your palms up. Look at your right hand and wiggle your fingers. Now turn your head to look at your left hand, wiggle your fingers.
Have you noticed that while they are out to the sides you cannot focus on both hands at the same time?
If you look forwards you may be able to see both hands in your peripheral vision but they are then both out of focus and appear blurred.
Where are you doing that in your life?
Where are you perhaps focusing on something to the detriment of another?
Are you focusing on the right things for you?
